Sagarzazu Studio is a communication and graphic design studio founded in Barcelona in 2006. It bases its work methodology on a flexible structure based on the synergy between collaborators and on strategic alliances with other national and international studios and agencies (Point Blank, Temabcn, Defacto). This allows it to absorb with absolute creative freedom a wide variety of projects of different nature and size, from editorial design to brand development, web or animation projects, always under the artistic direction and management of David Sagarzazu, its director.
In today’s world where graphic design and communication lose ground every day to the marketing of the ephemeral, at Sagarzazu Studio we firmly believe in modulating the art direction according to the needs of each project. We are aware that our work is based on solving problems with creativity as a tool, so we advocate listening before acting and involving the client in decision-making. We believe in pedagogy and communication as tools for mutual growth, while at the same time we are moved by an almost childish obsession with detail.
Throughout more than 15 years of experience, we have worked on comprehensive communication and design projects for national and international clients (especially linked to Dublin and Ireland), such as Amnesty International, Vueling, el Consejo de la Juventud de España, el Barcelona City Council, Francis Bacon Studio, Christy Moore or Filmin.
In 2008 the studio won a Laus Award for user and interface design from the Hugh Lane Gallery in Dublin and more recently won another Laus Award for the promotional video, brand and campaign of the first edition of the Hivernacle Pop Up Club in Barcelona.
